Four Safety Measures for Polypropylene Storage Tanks

1. Strictly adhere to safety operation procedures in the process of operation; the spherical tank does not exceed pressure or capacity.

2. The spherical tank passed its scheduled inspection on time, and any defects were promptly addressed.

3. Strictly adhere to the safety operation procedures for tank areas and enhance tank area management.

To prevent a secondary fire caused by the rapid vaporization of liquefied hydrocarbons in storage tanks due to overheating in a high-temperature flame-baked environment, and to avoid overpressure and tank rupture leaks, the deluge system should be activated promptly to cool the affected tank and adjacent tanks, thereby reducing the internal temperature.

When operating polypropylene storage tanks, protective measures are in place, and the shell test pressure of its valves must not be less than 1.5 times the rated pressure, with a minimum test time of 5 minutes. Shell filling material without leakage is considered合格, and the sealing test is conducted at the rated pressure, with no leakage on the valve disc sealing surface as passing.
