Modified PVC Strip

Prices range relatively low, typically between 6,000 and 15,000 yuan per ton, due to varying quality. Low-end products, using recycled materials, substitute plasticizers, and high fillers, result in poor elasticity, tend to harden, have a pungent odor, and easily discolor frame materials, reducing their lifespan. A few window and door manufacturers still competing at low price levels continue to use them. Mid to high-end PVC strips meet standard specifications and have a relatively longer lifespan.

Due to the halogen content in PVC products and the presence of heavy metals in stabilizers, they are not environmentally friendly. As a result, developed countries abroad, as well as Beijing and coastal cities in China, have already phased out or restricted the use of PVC strips.

2. Thermoplastic三元乙丙橡胶Seal Strip

The sealant strip is a new material developed in recent years based on the introduction of foreign technology and domestic independent research and development. It is primarily used for automotive door and window seals, and has recently started to be used for building door and window seals. Its outstanding advantages include:

① The performance and service life are comparable to those of sulfurized三元乙丙橡胶seal strips.

② Processing energy consumption is lower than that of sulfurized trimeric EPDM strips (comparable to PVC).

③ Free of halogens and heavy metals like lead, and recyclable after several years, it meets the requirements for green building materials.

④ Small proportion (only 0.9-0.95) with high yield rates. Although the purchase price appears high, the actual cost of use is low.

Product Features

1) Lightweight, high tensile strength, and non-absorbent (as a substitute for traditional materials like three-oil four-felt, asphalt wood shingles, etc.). The product is environmentally friendly, easy to install, and boasts excellent waterproofing, leakage prevention, and water stoppage effects.

2) Corrosion-resistant, aging-resistant, and withstanding extreme temperatures from -45℃ to +80℃ without dripping, warping, or cracking, with a long service life.

3) Featuring an independent perforated bubble structure, the specially designed joint panel has a honeycomb-like pattern of evenly distributed holes. It can bond tightly with cement or sealant without sanding, integrating seamlessly. It adapts to natural expansion and contraction changes, enhancing the joint's sealing and water-stopping expansion effect.

3. Sulfurized EPDM Sealing Strip

Our product significantly enhances the sealing and elastic durability compared to PVC strips, but due to the requirement of microwave vulcanization line shaping, it has high processing energy consumption, typically over 20 times that of PVC processing. The product is non-reusable and not environmentally friendly, which does not align with the national promotion standards. Additionally, the material density (over 1.4) of this type of product is comparable to PVC (with lower density for low-end sulfurized ethylene propylene diene terpolymer strips), and the window rate is similar to PVC strips. However, the cost of use is relatively high, making it difficult for window and door companies to accept.
