The TECCO Grating Mesh Protection System is a type of SNS (Safety Netting System) active protection system. It covers flexible mesh over slopes with potential geological hazards by securing it with pre-stressed rebars (anchor rods) or wire rope anchor rods (when edge support ropes are used), special anchor pads, and edge support ropes as necessary. The pre-stressed anchor rods partially tension the flexible mesh, providing continuous support to the entire slope. This pre-tensioning operation ensures the system is as close as possible to the slope surface, creating a pre-stressed condition that inhibits local rock and soil movement or retains it in place in the event of local displacement or damage, thereby achieving its active protection (reinforcement) function.
