Ductile iron pipes in our country began to take shape in the early 1990s, experiencing rapid growth with strong support from the China Urban Water Supply Association. After nearly 20 years of practical use, their safety and practicality have been widely recognized in the water supply industry. By 2008, the domestic annual production had reached 2.2 million tons, 11 times that of 1990. As a country with limited water resources, we have over 600 cities facing water shortages and more than 200 with severe shortages. The water conservation and supply sector is still in its infancy, presenting a vast market for the development of ductile iron pipes.
