Fully Automatic Vacuum Ceramic Filter, Ceramic Filter Pla...

Ceramic filters should be used in the pellet production process for dewatering iron concentrate after it is crushed by ball mills. The quality of the filter can be distinguished based on the moisture content of the filtered iron concentrate. A moisture content below 8% is required, and ceramic filters are among the options. The dewatered iron concentrate can then be directly used in the production of seasonings and pellets, without the need for drying, significantly reducing costs. However, initial utilization rates are low, and the following measures should be taken.
Ceramic filter machines can be effectively regenerated. The key to ceramic filters is the ceramic filter plate, but excessive fine concentrate powder can block the plate after use, rendering it ineffective. Its regeneration can be achieved through: 1) extending the cleaning time, increasing the cleaning frequency to ensure regeneration rate, reducing the time from 8h per cycle to 6h, and increasing the duration from 40min to 60min; 2) increasing the current and ultrasonic intensity to enhance cleaning efficiency, with a general control of 8A being suitable; 3) selecting appropriate solvents, such as soaking and treating in oxalic acid solution.
2. Increase the concentration and temperature of the coal slurry. The concentration of the iron concentrate slurry after ball milling can be increased from 65% to over 75% through overflow thickening. Moreover, raising the temperature of the coal slurry will enhance the utilization coefficient of the filter, which is a viable option.
3. The failure rate of ceramic filters. Damage to the ceramic plates can lead to the mixing of coal slurry with filtrate, contaminating the cleaning fluid and reducing efficiency. The main causes of damage are the installation of the agitator, scraper, and ceramic plate, as well as collisions with debris entering the slurry tank. 1) Properly install the agitator, scraper, and ceramic plate; 2) Replace and clean them promptly to avoid blockages and further damage; 3) Enhance the strength of the ceramic plates.
4 Reduce the damage to the filter pump's seal. Leaking filter pump seals can lead to insufficient filter suction, causing the vacuum pump to intake, which may result in motor or pump housing burnout accidents, ultimately leading to the shutdown of the filter. Necessary actions include: 1) Modify the filter pump by replacing the rotating seal with a mechanical seal.
2) Select appropriate filtrate pump parameters; 3) Increase automatic detection.
Above measures have been implemented at Xingcheng Special Steel in our country, significantly increasing the utilization rate of ceramic filters from 0.6t/(m².h) to 1t/(m².h).
