Typical Applications: Ideal for conveying corrosive fluids and industrial, chemical, ionized, and deionized water. Offers a longer lifespan than stainless steel, making it a suitable alternative to stainless steel piping. Also outlasts lined rubber and glass-reinforced piping.
Corrosion Resistance: Resistant to most organic and inorganic acids, bases, and salts, except for strong oxidizing acids like concentrated nitric acid, fuming sulfuric acid, and chlorosulfonic acid. It exhibits good resistance to stress corrosion and can withstand the corrosion from less than 10% nitric acid, formic acid, and acetic acid, less than 36% hydrochloric acid, less than 20% hydrobromic acid, dilute hydrofluoric acid, and various concentrations of carbonic acid, boric acid, butyric acid, alkalis, and the majority of salts, mercury, air, NH3, CO2, CO, NO2, HCL, and other gases.
