Fiberglass cooling tower water distributor

The distributor is a watering device for medium and small-sized circular countercurrent glass fiber reinforced plastic cooling towers. It is a crucial component in the cooling tower. Its function is to evenly distribute water over the packing material, increasing the water-gas interface contact, causing some of the water to evaporate and remove heat, thereby reducing the water temperature.

Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) Cooling Tower Water Distributor Components:

The water distributor is composed of two parts: the bearing sealing device and the rotating body. The sealing device used consists of bearing sleeves set at the top of the distributor, which are connected to the cover plate and tray at the top and bottom, respectively. This allows the bearings within the sealing device to fit with the central shaft, and the tray is connected to the body through a connecting rod, forming the rotating part of the water distributor. Additionally, a water barrier is set on the shaft body between the sealing device and the body, altering the bearing's exposure to recirculating water impact. This effectively prevents rust caused by moisture, ensuring normal operation and extending the service life of the unit.

Fiberglass Cooling Tower Spray Nozzle Working Principle:

Cooling water enters through the inlet pipe and flows into the distributor, which then distributes it through the piping system. The water is emitted through spray holes in the piping, creating a flow that sprinkles onto the packing material in the cooling tower. Due to the small diameter of the spray holes, the water has a certain velocity. According to the principle of action and reaction, the piping is subjected to a force opposite to the water flow, causing it to rotate and continuously distribute the water over the packing material. The water forms a film on the surface of the packing, increasing the contact area between water and air. The air flows in the opposite direction to the water within the tower, facilitating heat exchange. This causes some of the water to evaporate, carrying away heat and thereby lowering the water temperature.
