Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) Cooling Tower Distributor

The distributor is a water distribution device for medium and small-sized circular counter-current glass fiber reinforced plastic cooling towers. It is a critical component in the cooling tower. Its function is to evenly distribute water over the packing, increasing the water-gas contact surface, causing some of the water to evaporate, thereby removing heat and lowering the water temperature.

FRP Cooling Tower Water Distributor Composition:

The sprinkler is composed of two parts: the bearing seal assembly and the rotating body. The seal assembly, consisting of bearing sleeves set at the top of the sprinkler, which are connected to the cover plate and base plate at the upper and lower ends respectively, allows the bearings within the seal assembly to fit with the central shaft. The base plate is connected to the body through a connecting rod, forming the rotating part of the sprinkler. Additionally, a water-blocking device is set on the shaft body between the seal assembly and the body, altering the bearing's exposure to recirculating water impact. This effectively prevents rust due to water vapor, ensuring smooth operation and extending the service life of the sprinkler.

Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) Cooling Tower Water Distributor Working Principle:

Cooling water enters through the inlet pipe and flows into the distributor, then it forms a water stream through the spray holes on the distributor, which sprinkles onto the packing in the cooling tower. Due to the small diameter of the spray holes, the water stream has a certain speed. According to the principle of action and reaction, the distributor is subjected to a force opposite to the direction of the water stream, causing it to rotate and continuously distribute the water stream over the packing. The water adheres to the packing surface in a film-like manner, increasing the water-air contact area. Air flows in the opposite direction to the water stream inside the tower for heat exchange, causing some of the water to evaporate, carrying away heat, and thus lowering the water temperature.
