How to Address Paint Peeling on Aluminum Art Gate Panels

The cause of this situation is the common paint peeling issue found in aluminum door craft products. After manufacturing the door products, during transportation, the paint inevitably peels off. Therefore, when dealing with the paint that has fallen off the door, we can sand down the fallen paint and then use some paint to repair it, which generally resolves the issue.

However, there is still a significant amount of paint peeling off. How does the paint peeling off on aluminum art doors occur? In fact, it is a technical issue. After a regular door is finished, it needs to undergo secondary processing, such as phosphatizing the door surface or sanding it to make it rough, followed by spraying and baking paint. The temperature in the paint booth must be controlled properly. Since the degree of control in the aluminum process directly determines the adhesion of the door and paint, the temperature control is quite special.

Generally, the temperature control in the door baking process is around 180 degrees to achieve the surface adhesion after the powder melts. Aluminum door gates typically require a switch and are often hit against the wall when opening. Over time, the door lock box and handle may show signs of wear, affecting the appearance of the gate. At this point, you can find a rubber or a small wooden block, nail it to the bottom corner of the door panel, so that the gate's appearance won't be affected by the damage to the aluminum components.
