Quicklime

Lime and limestone are extensively used as building materials and are also important raw materials for many industries. Limestone can be directly processed into stone materials and calcined into quicklime. Lime comes in two forms: quicklime and slaked lime. The main component of quicklime isCaO, commonly in a blocky form, is pure white but turns pale gray or pale yellow when impurities are present. Quicklime absorbs moisture or turns into slaked lime when water is added, also known as hydrated lime, with the main component being Ca(OH)2. Hydrated lime is mixed to create lime slurry, lime putty, and lime mortar, used as coating materials and brick and tile adhesives.。
