Overview

The intelligent pipeline network non-negative pressure water supply equipment integrates microelectronics technology, automatic control technology, and various modern architectural features into a new technology. This product is developing towards intensification, systemization, and standardization.

China's building water pressure boosting systems have roughly gone through four stages:

The first phase employs the "reservoir + pump + elevated water tank" method. Municipal water enters the reservoir, is then pressurized by the pump and sent to the elevated water tank, from which it is supplied to users. The reservoir serves as a regulating function during peak water usage times.

The second stage employs the "reservoir + pump + pressure tank" method. Municipal water enters the reservoir, is then pressurized by the pump and sent to the pressure tank, from which it is supplied to the users. The reservoir serves as a regulating function during peak water usage times.

In the third phase, the "reservoir + constant pressure variable frequency water supply system" method is adopted. After setting the system's water supply pressure, under the control, the pump speed and the number of pumps in operation change with the variation in water supply volume, maintaining a constant output pressure, which to some extent saves electricity consumption.

In the fourth stage of管网叠压供水 era, equipment is directly connected to the municipal water supply network, eliminating the need for reservoirs. It fully utilizes the pressure of the municipal tap water network, featuring high automation and ease of maintenance, and has gradually become a rational water supply method for modern buildings.

Equipment Working Principle and Process

1. When the municipal pipeline network itself meets the water supply requirements; the equipment is in a shutdown state, and the municipal water source supplies water to the user's pipeline network directly through bypass pipelines or through the pump.

2. When the municipal pipeline pressure is insufficient (requiring increased pressure water supply), the equipment automatically activates, boosting water pressure by variable frequency speed-reducing relay on top of the existing municipal water pressure. Following the principle of "compensate for the deficit," the increased pressure meets the user's constant pressure water supply needs within the water flow range. The specific operating mode of the equipment is determined by the model of the purchased variable frequency control cabinet.

Note: The control system of the equipment can be set for continuous operation (non-stop) or for intermittent operation on-site. If the equipment requires intermittent operation, a pneumatic tank should be purchased as a complementary item during the equipment selection. The standard equipment does not include a pneumatic tank and is recommended to be set for continuous operation.

3. When the municipal water supply pressure approaches the prohibited suction pressure, it's not entirely forbidden to suction but only to prevent large-volume suction. Therefore, the equipment can be set to operate with automatic pressure reduction, for instance, when the municipal pressure is normal, the equipment's outlet pressure operates at a 30-meter target, sufficient for water supply to all users in a 7-story residential building. When the municipal pressure nears the prohibited suction pressure, the equipment automatically adjusts to a 20-meter target for operation, still ensuring water supply for users in buildings up to 5 stories. After the municipal pressure returns to normal, the equipment will automatically resume operation at the 30-meter target.

4. To prevent over-pumping, the equipment features a low-pressure shutdown function. That is, when the municipal water source pressure is too low (not allowing further pumping), the equipment will automatically shut down after a delay for confirmation.

Application Scope

·New residential communities or office buildings, etc., for domestic water supply.

Low-level tap water pressure is insufficient for fire-fighting water requirements.

Revamp the existing pneumatic water supply equipment to maximize the use of the original air pressure tank.

 · For installations with existing water tanks, the water supply can be arranged by using an intelligent pipeline boosting system (no negative pressure) that shares the tank.

Large-scale water supply intermediate booster pump station for waterworks.

· Production and domestic water supply for industrial and mining enterprises.

Equipment installation, operation, and maintenance

The installation of this equipment should be in a well-ventilated, dust-free, and dry location with an ambient temperature ranging from -10℃ to 40℃.

2. The pump unit of this equipment should be regularly inspected, maintained, and lubricated. If leakage is detected in the centrifugal pump and check valve, the flange bolts should be tightened promptly or the asbestos packing should be replaced. Check that the bottom bolts of the pump are not loose to prevent machine damage.

3. Electrical automatic control systems should be waterproof and dustproof, with regular inspections of circuit insulation, loose bolts, and intact fuses. The pressure gauge should be wrapped in transparent material to prevent dirt and damage.

Operating bearing temperature must not exceed 75 degrees Celsius.

5. The pump's bearings should be oiled after every 500 operating hours.

6. Long-term shutdown of pressure-free water supply equipment requires necessary measures to prevent contamination and rust. For winter shutdown, frost protection and insulation measures should be implemented.

7. Prior effluent discharge should be implemented for waterless pressure supply equipment based on water quality conditions.
