Integrated Water Purifier, Siphon Backwash Water Purifier

Hot and humid summer weather can lead to the growth of moss on integrated water purification equipment. Does this affect the water quality?

The PE pipe and short connectors are covered in moss, primarily due to the long length of the PE pipe being directly exposed to sunlight without protective sleeves or similar.

Integrated water purification equipment is generally not suitable for outdoor installation, as its normal incoming water temperature ranges from 5-40°C. The PE pipes connected to the small manifold should also not be exposed to direct sunlight. If outdoor wiring is absolutely necessary, the pipes must be installed inside PVC conduits. If the equipment needs to be installed outdoors, a canopy for shade and rain protection should be added. Keep the PE pipes as short as possible; if the water source is too far from the installation point, use PPR or UPVC pipes to connect the water source to the supply point before installing the equipment.

If a water purification system is unused and not flushed for a long time, it can still develop algae. However, many products on the market now come with smart flushing features, which don't cost much more but provide peace of mind. When there's some algae on the equipment, you can treat it using the methods described above, or take some preventive measures in advance.
