Micron filtration is a type of mechanical filtration method. The difference between microfiltration and other methods lies in the smaller pore size of the filtration medium, which, with the help of centrifugal force from the rotating screen, offers higher flowability under lower hydraulic resistance, trapping suspended solids.

Structure and Principle

A drum-type microfiltration machine is a mechanical filtration device consisting of main components such as a drive mechanism, overflow weir distributor, and flushing water system. The filter mesh is made of stainless steel. Its working principle involves feeding the treated water into the overflow weir distributor through a pipe, allowing it to flow out evenly from the outlet after a brief stabilization. The water is distributed over the filter tubes rotating in the opposite direction. The water flow generates a relative shearing motion with the inner wall of the filter tubes, achieving high water permeation efficiency. Solids are intercepted and separated, rolling down the spiral guide plates inside the tube and discharged from the other end. The filtrate flows away from the water trough. The machine is equipped with a flushing water pipe on the outer side of the filter tube, which sprays water at a pressure of 3 kg/cm² in a fan shape to flush and clear the filter mesh, ensuring the filter mesh remains in good condition for water permeation.
