Lime Dosing System Overview

During the acidic wastewater treatment in water treatment systems, lime milk is often added after neutralizing and adjusting the pH value. The addition process requires high continuity, and manual addition is labor-intensive. To meet market demands, we now offer a lime milk addition device for the environmental protection water treatment market, which features simple equipment operation, continuous addition, and stable dosing volume.

1.1 Working Principle

Lime milk dosing unit is a device used for storing, mixing, and dosing lime powder. The lime powder is stored in the lime silo, evenly discharged into the feeder, and then conveyed to the dissolution tank by a screw conveyor. The dissolution tank mixer thoroughly stirs the solution, and the prepared solution is then pumped to the user's point of use by the lime milk pump.

1.2 Product Features

1) Basic handling capacity: storage capacity of powder storage varies from 20m3 to 500m3; preparation concentration of lime milk (lime slurry) is around 5%-10%.

2) The use of a batching oscillator ensures smooth limestone discharge.

3) Continuous fully automatic batching, with a powder feeding machine equipped with a speed control device, offering a wide range of feeding quantity adjustment, and high accuracy in lime milk concentration batching.

4) Optional tamping or de-caking equipment for smooth lime discharge.

5) Utilizing a volumetric quicklime digestion unit, the relationship between feedstock and water inflow can be reasonably adjusted to set the optimal digestion temperature, thereby enhancing the digestion efficiency of quicklime.

6) Lime pipeline valves use special pipe valves, ensuring no clogs or leaks, easy operation and control, particularly suitable for the conveying of particulate materials.

7) Flow meters utilize liquid level measuring instruments for precise control.

8) The electrical control system utilizes an automatic control system, with the equipment operating automatically.

Process Flow

2.1 This system consists of a material storage warehouse, lime dissolution tank, balancing water tank (optional), whey separator, and metering pump, agitator, conveying equipment, etc.

2.2 Process Flow Description

 Raw Material: Lime powder delivered by lime tank trucks is positively transferred into the lime storage bin through the feed port. The bin is equipped with a dust collector, a safety valve, a level gauge, and an arch-breaking device. The dust collector separates the gas and lime powder from the positive pressure transfer, ensuring that the equipment does not build up pressure and that dust does not escape. The safety valve primarily protects the dust collector during poor permeability conditions, preventing the bin from building up pressure and damaging the bin structure. The level gauge's main function is to indicate the level of material in the bin, preventing over-filling and ensuring timely replenishment when the material is low.

Lime milk preparation: Lime powder is quantitatively conveyed to the lime milk dissolver by a spiral conveyor, while water is added proportionally to achieve the appropriate concentration of lime milk for use.

Transferred: The prepared lime milk is added to the dosing point via a lime milk pump.
