A Brief Introduction to Valve Sealing Surface Materials

Valve covers are the critical working surfaces of valves, and the quality of the sealing surface directly impacts the lifespan of the valve. Typically, the material for the sealing surface must consider factors such as corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, erosion resistance, and oxidation resistance.

Sealing is typically divided into two major categories:
Soft Materials:
1、  Rubber
2、  Plastic

Two: Hard Sealing Material
1、  Copper Alloys (for Low-Pressure Valves)
2、  Chrome stainless steel (for general high-pressure valves)
3、  Stellite alloy (used for high-temperature, high-pressure valves and highly corrosive valves)
4、  Nickel-based Alloys (for Corrosive Media)
