How Does a Wet Magnetic Separator Work?

The CTS (N·B) series wet permanent magnet drum magnetic separator features a magnetic field with a rotating and a fixed mechanism. The fixed mechanism is primarily used for weak magnetic field wet separation of fine-grained strong magnetic materials or for removing strong magnetic minerals from non-magnetic minerals. As the pulp enters the magnetic field area, the strong magnetic minerals are adsorbed onto the surface of the drum, while weak magnetic and non-magnetic minerals are separated and discharged. The strong magnetic minerals adsorbed on the drum surface are then carried out of the magnetic field area as the drum rotates.

The rotary separator is suitable for dry separation of fine-grained strong (medium-strong) magnetic minerals. Due to the high-speed rotation, the magnetic particles experience a significantly higher number of magnetic roll flips compared to conventional magnetic separators, which has a remarkable effect on breaking up magnetic agglomeration and increasing the ratio of rich ore. The minerals are separated into magnetic and non-magnetic fractions, which are then discharged separately from their respective discharge ports. This machine is applicable for coarse and fine separation of ore particles with a size range of 0-6mm.
