The MTU series engines are diesel engines equipped with the electronic monitoring and control system MDEC. The 4000 series is a large diesel engine with a common-rail fuel injection system technology, where ADEC collects and verifies various key parameters during engine operation, ensuring complete combustion of fuel in the cylinders and achieving true electronic fuel injection. They guarantee optimal fuel consumption rates for MTU engines, low smoke emissions during startup and sudden loads, and excellent cold-start performance. Their fuel-saving and environmental performance stand out globally, with a major overhaul cycle of up to 30,000 hours, significantly exceeding the typical 10,000-20,000 hours for standard diesel engines.
