316 Stainless Steel Explosion-Proof Pressure Cabinet Product Structure Overview
This product is suitable for factories in industries such as petrochemicals, offshore drilling platforms, metallurgy, light industry, textiles, food, biotechnology, aerospace engineering, and hazardous chemical warehouse facilities. It is designed for environments with Class II, Groups A, B, C, T1 to T4 explosive gases or vapors; altitude not exceeding 2000 meters; relative humidity below 95% at 25°C; and operating temperature range of -20°C to +40°C.
Various common detection, analytical, display instruments, microcomputer touch screens, and general electrical components can be installed according to customer requirements, with minimal restrictions on the installed electrical components within the customer's unit.
The distribution cabinet is composed of the cabinet body, automatic control system, gas distribution system, alarm system, and power distribution system; the cabinet body features an upright structure with an upper positive-pressure compartment and a lower auxiliary compartment. The auxiliary compartment houses the automatic control system, alarm system, and the user's incoming and outgoing cables; the positive-pressure compartment contains explosion-proof components of the automatic control system and power distribution system components of the user.
This distribution box features a ventilation type of air intake, providing a continuous and uninterrupted airflow. The working heat of the components inside the positive pressure chamber can be carried away through the air route, offering excellent heat dissipation.
This product is designed, manufactured, and inspected in accordance with GB3836.1-2000, GB3836.5-2004, and related standards.
The working principle of the 316 stainless steel explosion-proof pressure cabinet
The distribution cabinet, under the control of the automatic control system, introduces a protective gas. The pressure inside the positive pressure chamber is higher than the pressure outside, creating a micro-positive pressure safe environment. This prevents flammable hazardous gases from entering the positive pressure chamber, ensuring the safe operation of ordinary instruments and electrical components inside.
The automatic control system primarily handles a series of functions including automatic air exchange, air replenishment, high-pressure alarm (or exhaust), low-pressure alarm, low-pressure interlock, and air exchange interlock.
The distribution cabinet is equipped with a low-pressure interlock function as per customer requirements. It automatically cuts off the user's power supply to the pressurized chamber when the pressure value falls below the specified limit (50 Pa).
Installation of 316 Stainless Steel Explosion Proof Pressure Vessel Cabinets
Cabinet Installation
1. Cabinet installation location: indoor or outdoor with a roof, on a flat surface with no significant vibration.
2. This product is designed for floor-standing installation. The bottom is equipped with fixed mounting holes. Specific parameters are detailed in the technical drawings.
3. The wiring method is cable trench wiring. The user may refer to relevant national and industry standards for the cable trench structure, and design and construct it in accordance with the structural requirements of this cabinet.
4. Caution during handling: This product must not be tilted excessively; the tilt angle should not exceed 10 degrees.
5. It is strictly prohibited to use prying or hammering methods for handling this product during transportation and installation. Otherwise, it may affect the product's sealing performance, leading to improper operation of this product.
6. This product is equipped with an intake and exhaust port. The exhaust port can be discharged on-site or directed to a safe area for排放. On-site discharge requires passing through a fire damper before release. The user must provide an intake gas source (clean gas) on-site, with the gas pressure generally controlled between 0.2-0.8 MPa. When the intake gas source is nitrogen (note: nitrogen should be used cautiously as a protective gas in enclosed operation rooms. If nitrogen must be used as a protective gas, please ensure proper ventilation on-site to ensure personal safety).
7. Due to the presence of precision electrical components such as industrial control electronics and touchscreens, a desiccant filter must be installed at the air source inlet to ensure the air is dry and clean. Otherwise, it may affect the lifespan of the electrical appliances.
8. Absolutely no adjustment of the pressure-reducing valve is allowed; otherwise, it may cause a high-pressure surge in the cabinet (the pressure-reducing valve is already adjusted upon factory shipment).
Section II: Installation of Customer Components
1. Due to the fact that the internal power distribution system components are adjusted by the user, it is mandatory for the user to install, set up, and tune the system within the safety zone.
Do not disassemble the electrical components on the panel to avoid affecting the airtight performance of the cabinet.
Section 3: Electrical Installation
1. This product must be operated by a professional electrician.
2. Users shall connect the products according to the technical documents provided by our company, such as electrical system diagrams, wiring diagrams, terminal tables, etc., aligning each connection with the actual product conditions.
3. During wiring, please ensure the sealing integrity of all incoming and outgoing cables (never discard the sealing rings in the connectors), and apply appropriate sealing with explosion-proof clay based on the tension of each cable.
4. After the user's wiring and debugging are completed, ensure the doors are properly sealed when closing them.
5. This cabinet must connect the grounding wire to the grounding screw as required.
Five: Product Adjustment
One, this product is suitable for AC220V, 50Hz power distribution systems.
Part Two: The product debugging is divided into two parts.
1. Self-control section adjustment
Pre-check before tuning
The self-control system primarily consists of explosion-proof electrical equipment, mainly including explosion-proof enclosures, intermediate relays, time relays, and micro-pressure gauges. Check for any damage or issues affecting the explosion-proof performance, ensure proper wiring, and that the manual valve is open. Proceed with adjustments only when everything is in order.
2) Debugging Methods
A. Close the door for debugging. After the gas source is configured, the intake manual valve must be fully opened, power on, and turn the knob to the "Start" position. The red "Power Indicator" light will illuminate. At this point, the intake solenoid valve and exhaust solenoid valve are fully opened, and the timer begins. The automatic control system enters the air exchange stage, and the yellow "Air Exchange Indicator" light illuminates.
After 10 minutes, the yellow "Venting Indicator" light goes out, and the green "Automatic Indicator" light turns on, indicating the venting is complete. At this point, all intake and exhaust valves are closed, and the sensor system performs pressure detection. If the pressure in the positive pressure chamber exceeds 50Pa, power is supplied to the main cabinet's power distribution system via the contactor; otherwise, power is not supplied. The cabinet then enters a normal pressure maintenance state. During this process, the internal pressure can be adjusted using the bypass precision pressure regulating valve to maintain it at around 300Pa. At this stage, the entire cabinet start-up process is finished.
During operation, if the pressure inside the cabinet drops below 100Pa due to external gas source reasons, the "low-pressure alarm" bell will ring, and the intake solenoid valve will open to replenish the positive pressure chamber. Once the pressure is replenished to 1000Pa, the intake solenoid valve will close and enter the pressure maintenance mode. At this point, it is essential to identify and rectify the cause of the pressure drop in the positive pressure chamber. Otherwise, the internal pressure of the positive pressure chamber will fluctuate erratically, causing the solenoid valve to operate frequently, destabilizing the entire cabinet. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the pressure through the bypass precision pressure regulator to ensure that the relative pressure within the system is maintained around 300Pa, which will determine the stability of the automatic control system and the overall operation of the cabinet.
If the positive pressure in the inverted positive pressure cavity drops below 50Pa due to external gas source reasons, the automatic control system will disconnect the power supply to the user's system, entering the "under-voltage protection" stage. The automatic control system will only restore normal power supply to the main circuit once the pressure in the positive pressure cavity rises above 50Pa.
3) Debugging Precautions:
This product is factory-set with all parameters; users are strictly prohibited from making any unauthorized changes. During debugging, please ensure that the instruments, automatic control lines, and sampling pipelines are unobstructed.
2. Partial debugging of the user's power distribution system
1) After transportation and installation, this product must be strictly inspected and debugged according to the standards for low-voltage complete equipment.
2) Check and operate by comparing the technical accessories included with the product (assembly drawings, etc.) with the customer's design drawings one by one.
3) During door opening debugging, only adjust the power distribution system.
After completion of the debugging, the product is ready for delivery.
Six - Product Maintenance
One, regularly inspect the aging of the seals, and replace them immediately upon discovery of aging.
The explosion-proof distribution box's隔爆结合面 requires rust prevention treatment, and the 204-1 rust-inhibiting oil must be reapplied each time the box is inspected or the lid is opened.
3. Each time panel components are replaced, their seal integrity should be checked.
Seven Precautions
1. Due to the possibility of containing adjustable components such as touch screens and PLCs in this container, please install the corresponding programs within the safety zone. Absolutely forbidden to open the cover and operate with power in the explosion-proof zone!!
2. To assist users in correctly selecting, installing, and operating this equipment, we have compiled this "Manual" for your reference.
