The cause of yellow spots on shrimp red stone:
1. Improper use of chemicals can cause pollution.
2. The reaction between high alkali cement mortar and internal elements of shrimp red stone.
3. Shrimp red stone itself has cracks or loose material, with high clay content.
4. Shrimp red stone contains sensitive elements that can cause chemical reactions.
5. Waxing or other sealing treatments on the surface of shrimp red stone can affect its breathability.
6. Poor air flow affects the breathability of shrimp red stone.
7. Without waterproof treatment, the shrimp red stone has a high water content;
Measures to prevent yellow spots on shrimp red stone:
1. Try to use shrimp red stone with fewer cracks and low clay content.
2. Try to use shrimp red stone with low content of sensitive elements.
3. It is recommended that shrimp red stone be subjected to six sided protection treatment before installation. Shrimp red should be protected before installation to prevent water from entering the slate and prevent iron minerals from oxidizing with water and oxygen in the air, causing rust yellow. Apply oil-based protective agent before installation; After 24 hours, evenly apply the shrimp red sealant to the bottom and 4 sides (except for the surface) of the shrimp red stone material; Before the sealant is completely dry, sprinkle a layer of fine sand on the bottom surface to strengthen the bond between cement and shrimp red stone; Then dry and keep the shrimp red stone out of contact with water molecules for 24 hours. The bottom glue forms a tough and transparent protective film on the back of the shrimp red, effectively preventing the occurrence of diseases such as shrimp red and white discoloration, yellowing, rust spots, and yellow spots.
4. When using shrimp red with many cracks, high clay content, high iron content, and more sensitive elements, it is recommended to use a protective agent for six sided protection treatment before installation.
