Spiraea japonica is typically planted in sandy soil. If possible, fertilize while preparing the ground, level the soil, and ensure good drainage. Choose one-year-old needleleaf hydrangea seedlings, first planting the edge within the designed lines at a spacing of about 10cm; then plant the middle section at a spacing of about 15cm x 15cm, avoiding overcrowding to maintain plant shape. Ensure root expansion and prohibit root binding. When backfilling, ensure the soil is level and even, with high compaction. Thoroughly water after planting.
