Surveying Engineering primarily includes various surface features and landforms, as well as underground geological structures, hydrology, and mineral deposits, such as mountains, rivers, buildings, roads, and vegetation.

Surveying engineering, which involves measuring and mapping various information about space and the earth to create topographical maps. Before large-scale construction projects can proceed, surveying engineers must measure and draw topographical maps and provide other relevant information, after which decision-making, planning, and design can take place.

Throughout the construction process, various surveys and measurements are often required to ensure that the project is strictly executed according to the plan; post-completion, a final measurement of the project is necessary to guarantee the quality of the work. Thus, engineering surveying is integral to the entire construction process and plays a crucial role.
