Sesame Black is a well-known and abundant granite in Hebei, China. Mining began in 1990, and it was then exported under the name Sesame Black. As China's mining and export of other black stone varieties increased, especially in the Sesame Black stone mine belt, with the mining of similar stone types like those in Shanxi and Fengzhen, names were introduced to differentiate them based on origin, such as Hebei Black and Fuping Black. The Shanxi mine is named Shanxi Black, and the Fengzhen mine is named Fengzhen Black.
