The JZJ2B Roots Water Ring Unit is a vacuum pump system composed of a ZJ-type Roots pump as the main pump and a 2BV/2BE1 series water ring pump or Roots-water ring unit as the preliminary pump. In addition to removing general gases, it can also suction gases containing moisture, organic solvents, or a small amount of dust. Compared to general mechanical vacuum pumps, it is not afraid of oil contamination, water vapor, or fine dust. Compared to general water ring vacuum pumps, it features higher vacuum levels and a greater suction rate at high vacuum conditions.
The JZJ2B series vacuum units, utilizing energy-saving 2BV series water ring pumps as the primary pumps, offer superior efficiency, compact structure, zero leakage (the 2BV pumps are designed with mechanical seals, unlike the packing gland seals of the 2SK series), corrosion resistance (the 2BV employs stainless steel or aluminum bronze impellers), and higher protection class compared to the JZJ2S series.
The Roots vacuum pumps we use are from our independently developed ZJ series, which features improved sealing for the pump cavity and bearing cavity. This ZJ series Roots vacuum pump is less prone to oil emulsification when removing large amounts of steam and various solvents.
The preliminary pump of the Roots water ring vacuum pump system commonly uses water as the working fluid, but it can also be replaced with organic solvents (such as methanol, ethanol, xylene, acetone, etc.) or other liquids. By operating the preliminary pump as a closed-loop circulation system, it significantly reduces environmental pollution and greatly enhances the recovery of organic solvents. The ultimate vacuum level is determined by the saturated vapor pressure of the working fluid.
Rotary Group Selection Considerations:
Understand the composition of the gas being extracted, whether it contains condensable vapor, if there are particles of dust, and whether it is corrosive. When selecting a vacuum pump, knowledge of the gas composition is necessary to choose the appropriate pump for the extracted gas. If the gas contains vapor, particles, and corrosive substances, consider installing auxiliary equipment such as condensers and dust collectors on the intake pipe of the pump.
The working pressure of the Roots vacuum unit should meet the requirements for the ultimate vacuum and working pressure of the vacuum equipment. For example, a vacuum drying process requires a working pressure of 10mmHg (absolute pressure). The ultimate pressure of the vacuum pump selected must be at least 2mmHg and capable of going below 1mmHg. Typically, the ultimate pressure of the pump should be at least half to one order of magnitude higher than the working pressure of the vacuum equipment.
Properly select the operating point of the Roots vacuum unit. The normal operating range of a Roots vacuum unit is from high suction pressure to 5 times the ultimate pressure. For example, the normal operating range of the JZJ2B150-2.1 Roots water ring vacuum unit is 6000Pa to 125Pa. This range represents the normal operating pressure after the main pump is activated, where the unit operates at peak efficiency.
The vacuum unit should be capable of discharging the entire volume of gases generated during the vacuum equipment's process at its operating pressure.
Select the appropriate unit configuration based on actual operating conditions. For example: The JZJ2B300-4.1 and JZJ2B300-2.1 units have the same high suction rate and ultimate pressure, but differ in their operating ranges and power consumption. The normal operating range of the JZJ2B300-4.1 unit is 2000Pa to 125Pa, while the JZJ2B300-2.1 unit's range is 5000Pa to 125Pa. It's clear that the JZJ2B300-2.1 unit has a wider operating range but consumes more power. If the working pressure of the suction system is confirmed to be less than 2000Pa, the JZJ2B300-4.1 unit should be prioritized to save energy. However, if the unit requires strong pre-suction capability for the system and needs to operate at higher pressures for longer periods, the JZJ2B300-2.1 unit with a larger primary pump is more suitable.
