Rectifier cabinets primarily provide traction power for overhead electric locomotives used in mines and tunnels, converting AC electricity into DC power for transmission to the locomotives.
Mine rectifier cabinet. A rectifier cabinet is a power unit that converts AC to DC power. The rectifier cabinet is equipped with a three-phase bridge rectifier circuit structure, with the same-phase and parallel configuration.
Rectifier cabinet function:
1. Rectifier cabinets are used to convert the 100HZ three-phase AC power output from the main exciter to a three-phase full-wave bridge rectified DC power supply for the motor's rotor current. For the reliability of the generator's rotor current, there are usually two or three rectifier cabinets. In normal operation, they operate in parallel.

2. The rectifier cabinet converts the three-phase AC voltage output from the excitation transformer into DC voltage (using a three-phase bridge rectifier).
