This enables the surrounding rock mass to complete a certain degree of stability deformation together with the sprayed layer, making the surrounding rock more stable and "unloading." At the same time, it reduces the bending stress in the sprayed layer, benefiting the concrete's bearing capacity.
3. Shotcrete Reinforcement: Shotcrete can be injected into open cracks on the sprayed surface, filling in surface hollows, and bonding together the structural surfaces divided by the cracks. It protects the interlocking and inlaying actions between the sprayed structures, enhancing their bonding and frictional resistance, and avoids or mitigates the stress concentration in the sprayed structures.
4. Coverage Function: The coating is directly applied to the structural surface, forming a protective layer. For instance, in underground engineering, it can create a waterproofing layer to prevent the loss of filling material in structural cracks. In protective engineering, it can form a fire and corrosion-resistant layer.
5. Prevent Loosening: The early high strength ensures timely resistance to the sprayed structure, preventing structural loosening.
6. Distribute External Forces: Transfer external forces to other structures used in conjunction through spraying layers (such as anchor rods and steel frames in underground engineering), ensuring even force distribution among the support structures.
