Measurement Principle:
Ultrasonic waves maintain effective transmission within 200 meters underwater, ensuring the integrity of direct wave propagation. Therefore, an underwater sonar sensor is installed diagonally at 45 degrees on both the left and right banks of the river channel. This setup can detect the direct wave signals affected by upstream and downstream currents, which is commonly referred to as the time-difference flow measurement method. The time difference of the arrival of the direct waves is directly proportional to the velocity of the water layer in the direct sound path of the sensor.
Compared to traditional time difference methods, both left and right banks utilize self-organized wireless data link communication, with dual machines performing time synchronization through satellites, ensuring no interference with navigation in the waterway.
