High Temperature Co-Fired Ceramic (HTCC) Technology
What is HTCC technology?
Utilizing multi-layer ceramic substrate technology, as these multi-layer substrates are co-sintered at a high temperature of 1600°C using alumina as an insulating material and conductive materials (Mo, W, Mo-Mn), they are known as High Temperature Co-Sintered Ceramics (HTCC) to differentiate them from the later-developed Low Temperature Co-Sintered Ceramics.
HTCC, commonly using metals such as tungsten, molybdenum, and manganese with high melting points, is printed on alumina/ALN/mullite (less commonly used) ceramic blanks according to circuit design requirements. After being layered, it is co-sintered into a single piece at temperatures ranging from 1650°C to 1850°C.
