The JS and JR series medium-sized electric motors can drive a variety of mechanical equipment such as fans, compressors, pumps, crushers, ball mills, machine tools, conveying equipment, and other devices. They are suitable for use as prime movers in coal mines, machinery industries, power plants, and various industrial and mining enterprises. The JS series is a squirrel-cage rotor three-phase asynchronous motor, while the JR series is a wound rotor three-phase asynchronous motor. JS series motors comply with the technical specifications of the national standard JB563-64, and JR series motors comply with the technical specifications of the national standard JB564-64. This series of motors is designed for protection type. Upon customer request, they can also be manufactured in pipeline ventilation type. Protection-type motors should be installed in rooms where the altitude does not exceed 1,000 meters, the surrounding air temperature is not higher than +40°C and not lower than 0°C, the air is clean, and there are no corrosive gases such as acids or alkalis.
Electric motors are not allowed to operate in environments containing explosive gases or excessive dust. When the air temperature around the motor exceeds the specified temperature or the air is not clean, pipe ventilation should be used. At this point, the cooling air temperature entering both ends of the motor should be between 0℃ and +40℃, and the air pressure inside the pipe and motor should be higher than the surrounding air pressure; a blower or dust filter may need to be added if necessary. JS series rat-type motors are permitted to start directly at full voltage. If the user's power grid does not allow direct full voltage starting, a reduced voltage start can be used, but in this case, the starting torque will decrease in proportion to the square of the starting voltage. JR series motors must have a starting resistor connected to the rotor circuit prior to starting. Direct short-circuit starting of the rotor winding is not permitted.

II. Brief Description of Structure
The basic installation type of the motor is a horizontal mounting with base feet. All models of motors can be connected to the driven machinery via a coupling. The motor features a radial ventilation system with symmetrical sides, where cooling air enters through the intake ports on both end covers. Part of the air is blown over the end sections of the stator winding by the fan or blades on the motor rotor, while the other part flows through the radial ventilation slots in the rotor core, finally escaping through the exhaust ports on the motor base side.
The ventilation system of the pipeline-ventilated motor is the same as the aforementioned.
The motor bearings use roller bearings; the bearing part numbers are listed in Table 1, and the bearing grease is lithium-based grease ZL-3.

The JS series motors can be manufactured with dual shaft extensions, either of which can be used to transmit the motor's rated power (the ball bearing end can only be driven by a coupling).
The JR series motors are permitted to operate at reduced torque for extended periods. At this time, the power and torque output should correspond to the specifications in Table 2.
If the load torque of the motor (when driving fans, pumps, etc.) decreases in a square relationship with the speed, the motor is permitted to operate at low speeds for extended periods.
