Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) Coating Processing - Where to Find DLC Processing - Ningbo DLC Diamond-like Carbon Treatment DLC (Diamond-like Carbon), commonly known as such, is a material composed of graphite (SP2) and diamond (SP3). Graphite boasts excellent self-lubricating properties, while diamond is renowned for its hardness. Therefore, it serves as an excellent coating that improves the surface properties of workpieces, typically with a thickness of 1 to 2 micrometers. The surface hardness can reach HV2500, and it has a low coefficient of friction. Our company, based on the material, movement, and stress conditions of different workpieces, employs various processes to produce different types of DLC coatings at low temperatures of 100 to 150 degrees Celsius using our proprietary PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) method, to cater to different materials and their processing and stress conditions. Sewing machine accessories such as bobbins, needle bars, and weighing components, among others, which require rotating and friction components, can be coated with DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) for enhanced hardness, wear resistance, and self-lubrication. This can increase the lifespan by 5 to 10 times.
