DLC (diamond-like carbon), commonly known as such, is a material composed of graphite (SP2) and diamond (SP3). Graphite boasts excellent self-lubricity, while diamond has superior hardness, making it a superior coating that improves workpiece surface performance with self-lubricating properties. Typically, the thickness ranges from 1um to 2um, with a surface hardness up to HV2500 and a low friction coefficient.
