DLC (Diamond-like Carbon), commonly known as such, is a material composed of graphite (SP2) and diamond (SP3). Graphite has excellent self-lubricating properties, while diamond boasts high hardness. Therefore, it is a self-lubricating coating that improves the surface properties of workpieces, with typical thickness ranging from 1um to 2um. The surface hardness can reach HV2500 and has a low friction coefficient. Sewing machine components such as bobbins, needle bars, and weighing components, etc., which require rotational friction, can be coated with DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) for surface treatment, offering hardened, wear-resistant, and self-lubricating properties, which can extend the lifespan by 5 to 10 times.
