Bimetallic thermometer
I. Application：
A bimetallic thermometer is an on-site industrial instrument suitable for measuring medium and low temperatures. It can be used to directly measure the temperature of gases, liquids, and steam. A bimetallic thermometer with a live contact can automatically send a control signal to cut off power or trigger an alarm when the working temperature exceeds the specified value.
The dual-metal thermometer boasts mercury-free, easy-to-read, sturdy, and vibration-resistant features, making it a suitable replacement for industrial glass mercury thermometers and widely applicable in industrial and scientific research sectors.
The bimetallic thermometer is available in three types: standard, outdoor, and corrosion-resistant. The standard model features an iron-plated shell and a stainless steel protective tube, suitable for indoor general use. The outdoor model is made of aluminum and features a stainless steel protective tube and connection column, offering good sealing properties and suitable for indoor and outdoor use, as well as general corrosion-resistant environments. The corrosion-resistant model has a full stainless steel shell and protective tube. The connection column can be made of molybdenum disilicide material, and all connections are sealed with sealant, making it suitable for measuring most corrosive mediums and gases.
Section II: Structural Principle：
The dual-metal thermometer features a sensing element with multi-threaded straight-threaded dual-metal strips. One end is fixed, while the other end (free end) is connected to the shaft. The axial type thermometer pointer is directly mounted on the shaft. The radial type structure indicator is connected to the shaft via a swivel spring. As the temperature changes, the free end of the sensing element rotates, causing the pointer to rotate on the scale and indicate the temperature change of the measured medium.

When the temperature reaches or exceeds the set value, the contacts close and send a signal to achieve automatic control and alarm.
Section 3: Features of Bimetallic Thermometers：
Thermometers should undergo regular maintenance checks as per normal usage, ideally every six months. Electric contact thermometers are not suitable for operation under severe vibrations to prevent affecting the reliability of the contacts. Multiple bimetallic thermometers are not suitable for measuring the temperature of media in open containers. Temperature thermometers with electrical contacts are often used in control circuits in environments with significant vibrations.
Double-metallic thermometers should be handled with care during storage, use, installation, and transportation to avoid collision with the protective tube. Do not bend or deform the protective tube and do not use the gauge as a wrench.
The immersion length of the double-metallic thermometer's protective tube must be longer than the length of the sensing element, with a normal immersion length exceeding 98mm. For the 0-50℃ range, the immersion length should be greater than 152mm to ensure the accuracy of the measurement.
The advantages of the bimetallic thermometer include fast response time, compact size, good linearity, and greater stability.
IV. Installation and Mounting Type：
To meet the needs of actual production, the bimetallic thermometer comes in various installation types: rotating external threaded pipe connections, rotating internal threaded pipe connections, fixed threaded connectors, sleeve threaded connectors, sleeve flange connectors, and fixed flanges.
