Large Rod Lateral Type Expansion Joint (DLB), also known as Large Rod Lateral Compensator, Large Rod Bellows Compensator, or Large Rod Expansion Joint, is designed to compensate for the lateral displacement of bent pipelines.
The large diameter lateral expansion joint is designed for compensating lateral movement of the piping system as well as axial displacement within the product's length range. It features simple piping design, easy installation, large compensation capacity, and no internal pressure thrust. Currently, this product is used in large-diameter, complexly routed pipelines to compensate for lateral movement of both spatial and flat piping systems.
Connection method for large-diameter lateral expansion joints:
1. Flange connection, 2. Pipe connection.
Calculation of the lateral type expansion joint's force on the support:
Lateral Elasticity: Fy = Ky · Y
Bending Moment: M = Fy × L
Equation: Ky - Lateral stiffness N/mm
Actual Horizontal Displacement (Deformation) mm
Distance from L-pipe bracket to the midpoint of the compensator in meters
