I. Operating Principle
The energy storage steam boiler utilizes the inexpensive electricity from the off-peak hours (23:00-7:00, for 8 hours) to convert electrical energy into high-temperature heat energy, which is stored in the heat storage unit of the unit. When heat is needed, the fan operates to circulate air through the heat storage unit, converting the stored heat into high-temperature hot air. This hot air then passes through a heat exchanger, heating the water in the upper steam drum to produce steam for use by the customer. If superheated steam is required, a superheater can be installed in the pipeline to further heat the produced steam with hot air, achieving the required high-temperature steam output.
Part II: Application
Heat-retaining steam generators are widely applicable in industries such as papermaking, food processing, textile dyeing and printing, chemical, and oil and fat processing, among others.
