Hard-seated Fixed Ball Valve is a high-performance valve that utilizes metal sealing rings for a hard seal against the valve seat, achieving opening and closing by rotating the ball. Both the ball and the seat sealing rings are made of metal materials, ensuring reliable sealing under various temperatures and pressures.
Structural Features
The hard-seated fixed ball valve is mainly composed of the valve body, valve cover, valve stem, ball, valve seat, and sealing ring, etc. The ball is the closing element, which opens and closes the valve by rotating 90 degrees; the valve seat is tightly fitted with the ball to form a sealing surface; the valve stem is used to transmit the rotational torque to control the rotation of the ball.
Operating Principle
The ball of a fixed ball valve is secured within the valve body, not moving with the medium pressure. Upon application of pressure, the valve seat moves, pressing the sealing ring against the ball to ensure a seal. When the ball valve is rotated 90 degrees, both the inlet and outlet of the pipeline are spherical surfaces, thereby cutting off the fluid flow; conversely, when the ball valve is returned to 90 degrees, both the inlet and outlet faces of the pipeline are channel holes, allowing the fluid to pass through the valve.
Application Scenarios
Rigid-sealed fixed ball valves are suitable for high-pressure and large-diameter applications, particularly in the oil, chemical, power, environmental protection, water conservancy, heating, and water supply and drainage fields. Their high-temperature and corrosion-resistant properties enable them to perform excellently under stringent operating conditions and are widely used in long-distance pipelines and general industrial pipelines.
Performance Advantages
Sealed Reliability: Utilizes metal-to-metal sealing to ensure a reliable seal under various temperatures and pressures.
High Temperature Resistance: The sealing surface material can withstand temperatures up to 540°C, and as high as 980°C in some cases.
Wear and impact-resistant: The ball and valve seat surfaces are highly durable with excellent wear and impact resistance.
