An Air Operated Double-Flanged Hard Seated Butterfly Valve is an air valve that opens and closes by rotating a circular butterfly plate with the valve stem. It is primarily used for cutting off the flow of media and can also be designed with regulating or both cutting and regulating functions. The Air Operated Double-Flanged Hard Seated Butterfly Valve is suitable for various media such as water, steam, oil, air, gas, and more, with an operating temperature range of -20℃ to +425℃.
Operating Principle and Structural Features
The pneumatic wafer butterfly valve has a simple structure, compact size, light weight, and easy installation. Its opening and closing is controlled by an electromagnetic directional valve to actuate the pneumatic actuator, rotating the valve rod by 90° to achieve the switching purpose. The valve has equal and opposite directional forces on both sides of the disc plate on the rotating shaft, resulting in a small opening and closing torque and good sealing at low pressure. It features a variety of sealing materials, including nitrile rubber, fluororubber, edible rubber, and FEP lining, offering excellent sealing properties, especially outstanding in low temperatures.
Application Scenarios and Advantages
Pneumatic actuated wafer butterfly valves with hard sealing are widely used in various pipelines such as food and beverage, petrochemical, power plants, steel mills, industrial environmental protection water treatment, and high-rise building water supply and drainage systems. They are suitable for a variety of media, and their use is increasingly prevalent in low-pressure environments, especially in medium and large diameter pipelines. Their advantages include:
High-temperature, high-pressure, corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, with long service life.
Compact, lightweight, and easy to install, suitable for various complex environments.
Rapid opening and closing, with flexible and convenient operation, saving on labor and energy.
Excellent sealing performance, suitable for various media and temperature ranges.
