Piston metering pumps are specialized volume pumps capable of meeting the stringent requirements of various process flows, primarily used for transporting liquids, especially corrosive ones.
Working Principle
Plunger metering pumps directly吸入 and排出 working medium through the reciprocating movement of the plunger. As the plunger moves inward, the chamber volume decreases, pushing the liquid out of the pump body; when the plunger moves outward, the chamber volume increases, allowing the liquid to be吸入 into the pump body. By continuously repeating this reciprocating motion, plunger pumps can continuously transport liquid.
Features
Flow Adjustment: Flow can be infinitely adjusted from 0-99%, maintaining a constant flow irrespective of the discharge pressure.
Applicable Medium: Suitable for high viscosity mediums, but not for conveying corrosive slurries and hazardous chemicals._
Accuracy and Pressure: Measurement accuracy up to ±1%, pressure up to 350 MPa; flow remains almost unchanged during pressure changes at the outlet.
Material: Stainless steel and Teflon are used for parts in direct contact with the medium, suitable for general particles and non-toxic, odorless mediums.
Application Fields: Widely used in the petrochemical, food, and other industrial sectors.
Structural Composition
The plunger metering pump is mainly composed of three parts: the motor, the transmission box, and the cylinder body. The transmission box components include the turbine worm mechanism, the stroke adjustment mechanism, and the crank and connecting rod mechanism; the cylinder body components include the pump head, the suction valve assembly, the discharge valve assembly, the plunger, and the stuffing box sealing parts.
Common Types
Plunger metering pumps come in two main types: valve-type and valveless pumps. Valve-type pumps control the inflow and outflow of fluids through the opening and closing of valves, while valveless pumps rely on their unique internal design for fluid measurement and conveyance.
