
Plunger metering pumps are specialized volumetric pumps designed to meet the stringent requirements of various process flows, primarily used for transporting liquids, especially corrosive ones.
Working Principle
The plunger metering pump directly吸入 and 排出 working medium through the reciprocating motion of the plunger. As the plunger moves inward, the chamber volume decreases, pushing the liquid out of the pump; when the plunger moves outward, the chamber volume increases, allowing liquid to be吸入 into the pump. By continuously repeating this reciprocating motion, the plunger pump can continuously transport liquid.
Features
Flow Regulation: Flow can be infinitely adjusted within the range of 0-99%, maintaining a constant flow rate irrespective of the discharge pressure.
Applicable Medium: Suitable for high viscosity media, but not for conveying corrosive slurries and hazardous chemicals.
Accuracy and Pressure: Measurement accuracy up to ±1%, pressure up to 350 MPa; flow remains almost unchanged during pressure variations at the outlet.
Material: Stainless steel and Teflon are used in areas in direct contact with the medium, suitable for general granular, odorless, and tasteless media.
Application Fields: Widely used in petrochemical, food, and other industrial sectors.
Structural composition
The plunger metering pump is mainly composed of three parts: the motor, the transmission box, and the cylinder body. The transmission box components include the turbine worm mechanism, the stroke adjustment mechanism, and the crank linkage mechanism; the cylinder body components include the pump head, the suction valve assembly, the discharge valve assembly, the plunger, and the stuffing box gasket.
Common Types
Piston metering pumps come in two main types: valve-type pumps and valveless pumps. Valve-type pumps control the inflow and outflow of fluids through the opening and closing of valves, while valveless pumps rely on their internal special design for fluid measurement and conveyance.
