
A vertical screw pump is a new type of pump that operates according to the reciprocating meshing volumetric principle. Its main working components include an eccentric screw (rotor) and a fixed sleeve (stator). Due to the special geometric shapes of the stator and rotor, they each form a separate sealed cavity. The medium flows uniformly in the axial direction with low internal velocity and stable pressure, without generating vortices or turbulence.
Operating Principle
As the drive screw rotates, the driven screw rotates as well, and the meshing between them forms multiple sealed working chambers. As the screw rotates, these chambers create a vacuum at the pump's inlet, drawing in the liquid under atmospheric pressure or other pressure. The liquid is then trapped within the working chambers and moves along the screw's axial direction. When the liquid is transported to the pump's outlet, the working chambers between the screws gradually shrink, forcing the liquid out of the pump chamber and through the outlet. The entire process is stable and pulse-free, making it highly suitable for applications requiring a steady flow rate.
Features
Flow Stability: The speed and flow rate of imported vertical screw pumps are linearly related. The pump can maintain a fixed speed for a certain flow rate, or adjust the speed infinitely or in multiple steps to meet various user requirements. The flow accuracy can reach ±1%, and it can be used as a metering pump for laboratories, pharmaceutical preparation, blending, etc.
Pressure Stability: The pressure (head) generation of imported vertical screw pumps is related to the "stator" screw lead, with each lead producing a pressure of 0.6 Mpa (60 meters head) differential and the second stage pump pressure being 1.2 Mpa (120 meters head).
Medium Adaptability: Special working cavities can handle media containing suspended hard and soft solid particles, long fibers, and gas-laden media (liquid, solid, gas tri-phase). The particle size of solids is related to the eccentricity of the pump's "rotor," with solid concentration up to 40% by volume (powder particles can reach 70%), and fiber length is related to the lead of the pump's "rotor".
Self-Attracting Feature: Capable of self-attraction, it can suck up liquid medium through pipelines up to a height of 6 to 8.5 meters.
