SMC Insulating Plate
Section 1: SMC Insulating Board Product Introduction :SMC insulating boards are various colored board-shaped products formed by molding unsaturated polyester glass fiber reinforced sheet molding compound. SMC stands for Sheet Molding Compound, which is a type of sheet molding compound. The main raw materials consist of GF (glass fiber), UP (unsaturated resin), low-shrinkage additives, MD (filler), and various auxiliary agents. It first appeared in Europe in the early 1960s, and around 1965, the United States and Japan developed this technology. In the late 1980s, China introduced advanced SMC production lines and technologies from abroad.
Our SMC insulating boards are available in sizes: 1000*2000*X, with other custom-shaped parts made to order. SMC insulating plates, SMC insulating sleeves, SMC insulating angle plates, SMC L-shaped insulating boards, T-shaped SMC insulating boards, SMC insulating frames, and SMC insulating sleeves.
Section 2: SMC Panel Product Features :The SMC insulating board features high mechanical strength, flame retardancy, and excellent electrical insulation properties, second only to UPM203. It boasts high arc resistance, dielectric strength, and voltage endurance. Additionally, it has low water absorption, dimensional stability, and minimal warping.SMC insulating panels are primarily used in various insulating partitions of high, medium, and low-voltage switchgears. The unique properties of SMC composite materials address the drawbacks of wooden, steel, and plastic meter boxes, such as aging, corrosion, poor insulation, low cold resistance, poor flame retardancy, and short lifespan. The excellent properties of glass-reinforced plastic meter boxes include sealed waterproofing, corrosion resistance, anti-theft electricity performance, and no need for grounding wires. They have a long service life. SMC distribution boxes, SMC meter boxes, SMC glass-reinforced plastic meter boxes, and SMC cabinets are widely used in rural and urban network transformation.
