Reheat Steam Turbines are a special type of turbine offered by our company; only simple copy is provided for reference.
A feed-water turbine refers to a turbine where, in addition to the main steam entering the turbine through the main steam valve and the regulating valve to actuate the turbine blades and do work, there is also a path or multiple paths of low-pressure steam entering the turbine at a few stages behind the main steam, to further actuate the turbine blades and do work.
Reheat steam turbines are widely used in self-powered power plants or small to medium-sized power stations in industries such as cement, chemicals, oil, metallurgy, coking, and biomass energy, as well as waste incineration. They effectively utilize low-parameter energy sources like waste steam from production processes.
An example case is as follows:
A chemical unit within the factory has a steam turbine with an inlet pressure of 0.98 MPa, temperature of 240°C, and flow rate of 3.5 t/h (up to 4.0 t/h) entering through the main and regulating valves. In addition to driving the turbine blades for power generation, there is also a low-pressure steam line of 0.3 MPa saturated steam entering the turbine after several stages to further drive the turbine blades and increase power output, thus enhancing efficiency.
