1. Pipeline Introduction:
Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Sand Core Pipes are a new type of composite material made with unsaturated resin as the matrix material, glass fiber as the reinforcing material, and quartz sand as the filling material. They are favored in the chemical industry, drainage projects, and pipeline engineering due to their excellent corrosion resistance, hydraulic properties, lightweight yet high strength, large flow capacity, ease of installation, short construction period, and low overall investment. FRP pipes are lightweight, high-strength, and corrosion-resistant non-metallic pipes. They are produced using special technology with resin (food-grade resin for drinking water), glass fiber, and quartz sand as raw materials. The pipes are constructed by winding layers of resin and glass fiber around a rotating mandrel according to the process requirements, with quartz sand evenly laid between the fibers as the sand core layer. The rational and advanced wall structure of the pipes maximizes the material's potential, enhancing stiffness while ensuring product stability and reliability under the premise of meeting the required service strength.
2. Pipeline Features:
With its superior chemical resistance, lightweight strength, non-scaling, strong seismic resistance, longer lifespan compared to standard steel pipes, lower overall cost, quick installation with no maintenance required, and lifespan exceeding 50 years, as well as its safety and reliability, it has been widely accepted by users. Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) pipes are used in industries such as oil, chemicals, ventilation, and water supply and drainage. China's GRP pipe production is developing rapidly, with quantities increasing year by year, and its application range and departments are expanding. The temperature range of use is greater than -70 degrees Celsius and less than 250 degrees Celsius, and the pipes do not crack under frozen media. Non-toxic, they can transport drinking and water, maintaining water quality hygiene for a long time.
3. Pipeline Performance:
No need for anti-corrosion protection or other measures; does not cause secondary pollution to water or other media; long service life. The pipe weight is just 1/4 of the same size and length ductile iron pipe, 1/10 of the cement pipe, easy for transportation and handling, and simple to install. Reduces pipeline joints, accelerates installation speed, and improves the overall pipeline quality. Reduces flow resistance, increases flow velocity, and lowers energy consumption. Transports the same volume of fluid through smaller diameter pipes, increasing flow by about 10% compared to pipes of the same size; does not scale, maintaining flow velocity over time. Provides good protection for cables in turbulent and heavily corrosive environments. Excellent water pressure resistance, external pressure resistance, and impact resistance, allowing for pipe and fitting design and manufacturing according to specified pressure requirements.
