I. Product Introduction
ADHXF-IVZ Type fire arrester with exhaust conduit is used in conditions where flammable and explosive substances are stored in atmospheric storage tanks. It is a safety device that integrates a fire arrester with an exhaust conduit breathing valve, designed specifically for scenarios where the stored tank medium is toxic and polluting.
Its features include discharging exhaust gases into the recirculation pipeline, and also preventing the introduction of open flames into the storage tank when air is inhaled through the breathing valve, which could cause an explosion.
II. Working Principle
The ADHXF-IVZ type fire arrester breathing valve with call-out connection is installed at the top of storage tanks or equipment. It not only maintains the pressure balance of the tank, ensuring the tank is protected from damage under overpressure and vacuum conditions, but also reduces oxidation and loss of the medium inside the tank.
When the pressure inside the drum falls below the negative vacuum setting of the breathing valve, atmospheric pressure lifts the vacuum valve disc, injecting air into the drum to prevent further pressure drop, thus avoiding the collapse of the storage drum or equipment.
When the pressure of the gas inside the cylinder exceeds the exhaust pressure setting of the breathing valve, the pressure valve is lifted by the gas, allowing the gas to escape from the cylinder, preventing the pressure inside the cylinder from rising further.

In API 2000, the typical set pressure range for gravity-operated breathing valves is -4.3 KPa to +6.9 KPa, while the set pressure for spring-loaded breathing valves must exceed this range.
