Vermiculite boards are made by compressing expanded vermiculite with a certain amount of binder, either through hot or cold pressing. They are known for their high strength and toughness. These boards also offer insulation, heat resistance, fire resistance, are asbestos-free, and do not emit harmful gases when heated to 1200 degrees Celsius. They have an A-grade combustion performance. This product is suitable for use in fire-resistant door cores, fireplace linings, and wall materials.
Vermiculite boards are a new type of building material, still in its infancy in our country. Domestically, vermiculite raw materials are mainly exported, while finished products are rarely used domestically. However, in recent years, there has been a growing demand for them in the domestic market. In developed countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, and France, they have been widely used since the 1980s.
Vermiculite board features: Non-flammable, non-melting, and high-temperature resistant. As the main raw material of vermiculite board is expanded vermiculite, which is an inorganic material without carbon elements, it is non-combustible. Its melting point ranges from 1370 to 1400°C, with a usage temperature of 1200°C and excellent heat retention properties.
Fire-resistant door cores are made from vermiculite expanded at 800-1000°C, mixed with inorganic additives and adhesives in a specific ratio, uniformly blended, molded, cured at low temperatures, and then dried at high temperatures. Vermiculite boards are porous materials with hundreds of millions of pores per cubic centimeter, each with a diameter of one micron (one-seventieth the thickness of a hair). Their excellent porosity ensures stable thermal conductivity in high-temperature environments, making them a good choice for fire-resistant, thermal insulation, and soundproofing products.
Chenxing Industry's fire-resistant doors are made from superior Xinjiang non-asbestos vermiculite boards, which are non-toxic, smokeless, environmentally friendly, and inorganic materials without carbon or sulfur elements. They do not emit CO2 or SO2, which affect the atmosphere, nor do they pose harm to human health.
Vermiculite boards, as A1 fire-resistant material, have also become the exclusive choice for filling cores in fire doors.
Common vermiculite board specifications used in filling cores are:
900x2000x48mm, 900x2000x40mm, 800x1900x50mm, 900x2100x60mm, etc., custom sizes available to meet different customer requirements.
