
A silent check valve made of stainless steel is a valve that opens and closes automatically through medium pressure, primarily used to prevent reverse flow of the medium while also featuring a silent closing characteristic. Its core structure is divided into two types: swing and lift. The valve body is typically made of stainless steel (such as 304, 316, etc.), and the sealing surface can be made of metal or rubber.
Structural Features
Valve Body: Utilizes streamlined channel design with built-in flow conductors to reduce pressure loss.
Disc or butterfly valve, capable of rotating around an axis or lifting vertically (commonly swing type).
Sealing Mechanism: The swing-type achieves shut-off through a face seal, while the lifting-type forms either a linear or face seal.
Operating Principle
Forward Flow: The medium pressure pushes the valve disc open, allowing the fluid to flow through the gap between the valve disc and seat towards the outlet.
Backflow prevention: The valve disc closes rapidly under its own weight or spring force, blocking backflow.
Application Scenario
Silent Feature: By optimizing the valve disc movement trajectory, water hammer noise can be reduced during shutdown.
Applicable Medium: Includes water, oil products, and wastewater; operating temperature range is 0-80°C, nominal pressure up to PN 2.5 MPa.
Installation Requirements: Must be installed horizontally with the valve cover facing up, ensuring the medium flow direction aligns with the arrow on the valve body.
Cautionary Notes
Restrictions: Not applicable to environments containing solid particles or high-viscosity media.
Maintenance Suggestion: Regularly inspect the sealing of the valve disc and seat to prevent leaks.
