Evaporative Condensing Screw Type Industrial Chiller Unit
Integrated evaporative condensing screw chiller units with built-in cooling pumps, featuring evaporative condensers made from high-conductivity, super-corrosion-resistant, and hydrophilic special metals, laser-welded for extended life of over 15 years. The evaporative condensing screw chiller combines the heat exchanger of a water-cooled condenser with a cooling tower for direct heat dissipation, integrating two units into one, eliminating the need for a cooling pump between the condenser and the cooling tower. The circulation water volume is 50~70% of the traditional method, and the condensation temperature is 3~11℃ lower than the traditional cooling method, saving energy by 25~40%. It significantly reduces the equipment size, allowing for easy installation and maintenance, and can be installed in basements to effectively reduce noise pollution and enhance the architectural appearance.
1、Energy-savingDue to the condensation temperature of the evaporative condenser varying with the wet bulb temperature, the wet bulb temperature is typically 6 to 8 degrees Celsius lower than the dry bulb temperature. This means that in the same environment, using an evaporative condenser can lower the condensation temperature of the condensing system by 6 to 8 degrees Celsius. Compared to a water-cooled condenser with a cooling tower, which dissipates heat to the environment in a single, direct manner, an evaporative condenser can save energy for the system and compressor by over 20%.
2、Low operating costs, long lifespanLow maintenance costs. All components of the evaporative condenser are made of stainless steel or galvanized steel pipes with hot-dipped galvanized coating, ensuring long operation time and low maintenance costs.
3、Water-savingThe water-cooled condenser can remove 4.6-6.9W of heat with 1kg of cooling water, while 1kg of water can evaporate and remove 676W of heat under normal pressure. Therefore, the theoretical water consumption of the evaporative condenser is only 1% of that of the general water-cooled condenser. However, due to factors like blow-off loss and wastewater replacement, the actual water consumption is 5%-10% of the general water-cooled condenser. Hence, it is particularly suitable for water-scarce areas.
Evaporative condensers utilize the evaporation of spray water outside the coil to absorb heat from inside the coil.
Evaporative Condenser
The heat from the high-temperature gaseous refrigerant gradually cools the refrigerant inside the tube, changing it from a gas to a liquid state.
A vapor condenser is composed of components such as cooling tubes, packing, spray nozzles, axial fans, collecting trays, pumps, water collectors, and cabinets.
Evaporative condenser operating principle
The spray water is pumped from the collection sump to the spray pipes at the top of the evaporative condenser, where it is sprayed onto the outer surface of the condenser tubes, forming a thin water film. Part of the water in the film absorbs heat and evaporates into steam, while the rest falls back into the collection sump for recirculation by the pump.
Axial fans force air to be吸入 from the top and bottom of the side walls, passing through the coil. The saturated, moist air is then released into the surrounding atmosphere. Part of the water droplets carried by the moist air are intercepted by the water collector, effectively controlling the loss of water droplet dispersion. The water vapor lost to the atmosphere is replenished with cooling water controlled by the float valve within the system.
Product Features of Evaporative Condensers
1. The condenser tubes are made of ultra-long, specially made supply pipes, rigorously tested under 2.5MPa water pressure, and then fully hot-dipped galvanized at nearly 430°C.
2. The housing is made of high-quality imported or domestic galvanized steel sheets, with the option of electrostatic powder coating. The water tray can be made of stainless steel.
3. Choose a dedicated, high-efficiency, low-noise axial flow fan. The specialized fan has a longer throw to prevent hot air from recirculating.
4. Pumps are designed with low power, high flow rate, and low head for outdoor use, and can be equipped with descaling devices upon customer request.
5. The water distributor, high-efficiency water recovery units, and cooling fillers are equipped with large-flow, clog-resistant nozzles. They provide precise, even coverage through meticulous calculations, preventing the formation of "dry spots" on the pipe walls. Made from high-quality PVC material, they are resistant to aging and feature a low wind resistance, trough-shaped water absorber, keeping the water spray rate below 0.001%. The cooling fillers are designed with a honeycomb cross-flow structure, suitable for recirculating water cooling.
6. A small flow cooling water evaporates in the condenser coils, and ammonia gas condenses into a liquid within the coils, hence the name "evaporative condenser." The high intensity evaporation makes evaporative condensers more prone to scale buildup compared to other types, and there is no ideal descaling method yet. A severely scaled evaporative condenser loses its energy-saving advantage. Only high-quality cooling water is suitable, and caution should be exercised when selecting the model. Technical characteristics of the evaporative condenser:
1. Utilizing induced draft counter-current and once-through heat exchange design, heat transfer is entirely dependent on the surface of the coil assembly. Air enters the evaporative condenser from all around the bottom at a low speed and exits from the top at a high speed, minimizing the return of the saturated warm and moist air.
2. Advanced high-flow spray nozzles that can thoroughly wet the pipe walls, enhancing heat exchange coefficients. This unit boasts an advanced design with no clogging issues, reducing surface scaling and improving equipment efficiency.
