Application Scope
The eddy current separator is a new product independently researched and developed by our company, widely used in the separation of conductors and non-conductors with significant density differences in metal and non-metal materials from waste, commonly applied in industries such as the recycling of non-ferrous metals (e.g., aluminum, copper) in waste recycling, sorting at scrap yards, and the sorting of electronic waste.
Structure Principle
Eddy current separators are a sorting technology that utilizes the varying magnetic induction intensities produced by the conductivity of different materials. The sorting principle involves a magnetic system drum composed of magnets rotating at high speed, creating an alternating magnetic field. When conductive metals pass through this magnetic field, eddy currents are induced within the metal. These eddy currents generate an alternating magnetic field that is opposite in direction to the one produced by the rotating magnetic system drum. Non-ferrous metals (such as aluminum, copper, etc.) are repelled by this opposing force and are ejected in the direction of conveyance, thereby separating from non-metallic substances like glass and plastic, achieving the sorting objective.
