Application Scope
The eddy current separator is a new product independently developed and produced by our company. It is widely used in the separation of conductors and non-conductors with significant density differences in metal and non-metal materials from waste, primarily in the recycling industry for non-ferrous metals (such as aluminum, copper, etc.) in waste recycling, sorting at scrap yards, and electronic waste sorting, among other industries.
Structure Principle
Eddy current separators are a sorting technology that utilizes the varying magnetic induction strengths produced by the conductivity of different materials. The sorting principle involves a magnetic system drum composed of magnets rotating at high speed, creating an alternating magnetic field. When conductive metals pass through this magnetic field, eddy currents are induced within the metal. These eddy currents generate an alternating magnetic field that opposes the direction of the magnetic field produced by the drum. Non-ferrous metals (such as aluminum, copper, etc.) are repelled by this opposing force and are ejected along the direction of conveyance, thereby separating from other non-metallic substances like glass and plastic, achieving the sorting objective.
