Counterflow closed-loop cooling tower, where the spray water flows against the wind direction, with water flowing downward and air flowing upward.
Operation of Counterflow Closed Circuit Cooling Tower
1. The reverse flow closed-loop cooling tower features bottom air intake, where dry, low-temperature air is drawn in from the lower part of the tower. It alternates with descending spray water in a reverse manner, absorbing heat and moisture to form saturated, humid air. The heated air is then exhausted from the top by a fan.
2. After the sprinkler water evaporates, the extracted saturated moist air carries away some water droplets during its upward journey. These droplets are then deflected back by a special dehydration unit, returning to the water collection basin for recirculation.
3. The internal recirculating water, due to the latent heat of vaporization of the spray water, carries away heat energy, exchanges it through the pipe walls, reducing the temperature of the circulating medium inside, thereby achieving the purpose of cooling and temperature reduction. This process does not affect the purity and quantity of the internal medium, ensuring the stability of the composition of the internal circulating medium.
Features of Counter-Flow Closed-Circuit Cooling Towers
1. Compact structure
The counterflow closed-loop tower has a more compact product structure compared to the crossflow closed-loop tower, featuring more coil surface area for heat dissipation, making it more suitable for cooling projects with smaller temperature differences.
2. It is the entire system
Due to the small footprint of the counter-current closed-loop tower, it can be made into a single unit with the addition of a circulating pump, making it convenient for mobility.
3. User Company
Due to its compact tower design, it can be placed in workshops, making it particularly suitable for cooling medium-frequency power supplies and mechanical water jackets. It is especially ideal for projects with smaller temperature differences, such as the cooling of a group of water source heat pump units.
Advantages of Counterflow Closed Circuit Cooling Towers
1. Excellent cooling performance with low failure rate. The internal circulation medium has no contact with the outside, so there is no evaporation of the medium, ensuring stable composition, easy cleaning, no scaling, and low failure rate.
2. Energy-saving and environmentally friendly. Compared to traditional cooling towers, closed-loop cooling towers are more suitable for water-scarce areas due to their fully enclosed internal circulation and efficient dehydration devices. These towers can control the start and stop of fans and spray pumps based on the outlet temperature, thus avoiding waste of electricity and water. Additionally, they have a low drift rate.
3. Long service life.
Properly maintained, the lifespan is typically over 10 years with lower maintenance costs in the later stages.
