
The condenser equipment of a steam turbine is an essential component of the condensing steam turbine unit. Its function is to condense the exhaust steam of the condensing steam turbine into water, forming and maintaining the required vacuum. The performance of the condenser equipment directly affects the thermal economy and safety of the entire unit.
Condenser Working Principle
Condensing equipment plays the role of a coolant in the thermal cycle of steam turbines, used to reduce the exhaust pressure of the turbines to enhance the thermal efficiency of the cycle. The most effective method to reduce the exhaust pressure of the steam turbines is to condense the exhaust steam into water. Since if steam releases heat in a sealed container (condenser), it will condense a large volume of steam into a small volume of condensate, which collects at the bottom of the condenser. This creates a high vacuum in the space previously filled with steam, thus forming the simple working principle of condensing equipment.
The task of the condensing equipment is
(1) Establish and maintain a high degree of vacuum at the steam turbine exhaust outlet to enhance the thermal efficiency of the cycle.
(2) Condense the exhaust steam from the steam turbine into clean condensate, which serves as the feed water for the boiler, and receive the thermal system.
